We have started growing Kale. It’s a completely new venture.
We have limited experience growing strawberries but have decided to try the
hand at something different and what better than kale given all the recent
publicity this super food has received.
Kale is a type of cabbage, very high in nutrients and vitamins
and is very high in fibre. So much so, some people with irritable bowels might
want to give it a miss in its raw form. But for the massive majority of us kale
is super choc full of beta carotene, vitamin K, vitamin C,
and rich in calcium.
Kale is the real health food of 2015, good for boiling and
juicing, steaming and salading. Some people even make it in chips??
